The following resources have been identified to support those who are experiencing grief/loss be it from death, divorce
or any traumatic event. In addition, regional and internet information is included on death and dying. If you are
experiencing symptoms of depression, unresolved grief or anxiety, please consult your health care provider.

organization dedicated to a consumer right to choose a dignified, meaningful, affordable funeral.

- Burial Assistance:
- New Hampshire: State, city and town welfare departments all
provide benefits for deceased residents who are indigent, or whose families
cannot pay for their funerals. For more information contact a
local funeral home
or Community Action Agency
- Vermont: Burial Assitance covers expenses up to $665 for
professional services and related costs for a simple burial or cremation
for a deceased individual. Assistance is for those without resources to
pay for burial who are: -nursing home residents; -SSI, Medicaid Waiver or
Reach Up participants; or -an individual who died outside of the town in
which he or she lived. Besides a spouse, family member's financial
resources will not be used to determine eligibility for the individual who
died. However, if a family member wishes to purchase items that are more
expensive than those included in the burial program, doing so may make the
deceased individual ineligible for the burial program. For more

Grief/Loss For Children and Teens
- Barr-Harris Children's Grief Center - provides services to children who have lost a parent through death, divorce, or abandonment. Also sponsors educational events and offers consultations.
- KidSaid-A safe place for kids to share and help each other deal with grief about any of their losses.

Grief/Loss For Providers
- Bereavement Services - Support and Education - offers support groups, workshops, crisis intervention, and consulting services for schools, churches, funeral homes, community, and First Nations groups.
